Do you remember the piercing and discordant string chords that accompany the scene? Well, I'm going to talk about the guy who composed them. Not only that, but if you like the music of Danny Elfman, you might want to read this article too. Elfman has developed a recognizable style. Most of his scores have a dark and fantastic nature. The guy about who I'm going to talk about was a specialist in dark scores. Not surprisingly, he's known to be one of Danny Elfman's influences. Ladies and gentlemen: the great Bernard Herrmann.
